The government of Tamilnadu shelved the introduction of 2 yrs course in Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani for MBBS doctors, due to the timely action taken by the TN Chapter.
- The Tamilnadu government reduced the sales tax for Ayurveda medicines from 8%to 4% as the Tamilnadu Chapter raised the matter of non extension of the sales tax exemption given to the Siddha and Unani medicines to Ayurveda medicines, in the Tamilladu legislative assembly through the President of IMPCOPS and MLA, Dr.KUMARADAS.
- TNPSC permitted the Ayurveda doctors to write the TNPSC written test for assistant medical officer - Ayurveda-post, in English or Tamil by modifying its notification, as the association informed the TNPSC that since the Government approved syllabus for the Ayurveda course is being in English and Sanskirt, insisting the Ayurveda candidates to write the written test in Tamil only may lead to legal problems.
- In response to the good efforts of the state unit the local bodies stopped the conversion of Ayurveda dispensaries and Ayurveda doctors were posted in the CHENNAI, COIMBATORE and MADURAI Corporations and Sivalapperi at Palayamkottai Panchayat Union in TIRUNELVELI District.
- The Goverment revived the 2 Years diploma course in Ayurveda Phamacy, as the association brought to the notice of the officials the dearth of Ayurveda Pharmacists in Tamilnadu.
- In the year 1999 a separate Registrar was posted to the Tamilnadu Board of Indian Medicine.
- An Ayurvedic Wing was opened at ESI Hospital at CHENNAI due to persistent efforts of TN chapter.
- Through the members of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani drugs Technical Advisory Board (ASUTAB) New Delhi Dr.G.G.Ganghadaran and Dr.V.R.Seshadri, distinguished officials of AIAC TN Chapter, presented a representation pertaining to the clauses in the drugs and cosmetic Act, detrimental to the interests of Ayurveda and the constituted a committee to identify the clauses which are to be deleted.
- Ayurveda Colleges in Tamilnadu in the years 2000, 2001, 2002. The Tamilnadu Chapter is publishing a Quarterly magazine, registered under News paper Registration Act, AROGYAKALPAM since 1998.
- The association conducted Inter College essay and quiz competitions for the students of Ayurveda colleges in Tamilnadu to bring to the fore their inherent talents, in the years 1999, 2000 and 2001.
- The state unit extended its assistance to Mrs. T.V. Lakshmi Kutty from Trichy who instituted an "Outstanding Student Award", in the memory of her late husband and a prominent member of AIAC, Dr. T.V. Raghava Varier, in the selection of the students from the Ayurveda Colleges in Tamilnadu in the years 2000, 2001 and 2002.
- The Association assisted the K.S. Variers's ASHTANGA AYURVEDIC PVT.LTD., at Trichy in identifying the eligible students for the Annual tuition fee scholarship among the
